What is a Draft Style League?
A draft-style hockey league is a league where players sign up individually, and teams are formed each season. Each season, teams are reformed, allowing you to play with a new team and meet new players.
Here's the simple breakdown:
1. You register individually - no team needed
Instead of needing a full roster, players sign up individually. It's perfect if you're new to the area, don't have hockey friends yet, or don't want the hassle of organizing a team.
2. Division leadership creates teams
Before the season starts, Division Managers and Captains work together to create balanced teams based on the skill level of players.
4. You get assigned a team for the season
About a week before the season starts, teams are finalized and announced. You'll learn who your Captain is and which team you're on.
